Child molester gets life in prison
Joseph Baltezor is convicted of molesting the same girl from the age of 9 until she was 14
VISALIA – A Visalia child molester will spend the rest of his life in prison after molesting a girl under the age of 14 for five years.
On June 11, Tulare County Superior Court Judge Gary Paden sentenced Joseph Baltezor, 42, of Visalia, to 59 years and 8 months-to life in prison for child molestation.
On April 13, a Tulare County jury found Joseph Baltezor, 42, of Visalia, guilty of 20 counts of lewd act on a child under the age of fourteen, one count of lewd act on a child aged fourteen, and one count of sexual penetration of a child ten or under. On six of the counts, Baltezor was found to have substantial sexual conduct with a victim under the age of fourteen.
The crimes occurred between 2008 and 2013 against a single minor female victim who was between 9 and 14 years of age at the time of the sexual assaults. Judge Gary Paden set Baltezor’s sentencing hearing for May 25 in Department 6 of the Tulare County Superior Court where Baltezor faces the possibility life in prison. In addition to his sentence, he will have to register as a sex offender.
