Visalia Chamber holds annual Membership Appreciation Night
visalia – Stepping back from the daily business grind to look at the big picture has fueled the Visalia Chamber of Commerce to take an evening to thank Chamber business members who make our community stronger. Formerly known as the Business Expo, the Business Member Appreciation night will be held on Thursday, April 21 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the courtyard of the Visalia Convention Center.
In addition to thanking their loyal members, the Visalia Chamber of Commerce will be highlighting Chamber members who are celebrating significant membership anniversaries. “Business members supporting the Chamber through multiple years, decades even multiple decades, has allowed the Chamber to make a lasting and significant contribution to our community. I am excited that on this night we can publicly thank them,” stated Gail Zurek, president/CEO of the Visalia Chamber. Through the title sponsor, the Visalia Convention Center, the evening will be hosted at the Convention Center outdoor courtyard. Member businesses will host booths to thank other Chamber members for their support and share information about their work.
An exciting piece of the Business Member Appreciation Night will be the Young Entrepreneurs Academy student business launches. Twelve middle and high school students have been working for more than six months to create their very own businesses. Seven of these new businesses will make their debut with their own exhibitor booths. Students will be selling items including soaps, coffee, reusable water bottles, fruit salads, chocolates and more. We invite you to support these young entrepreneurs as they make their dream of owning a business a reality.
The Leadership Visalia class of 2015 – 2016 will also be in attendance debuting their class project. This year the Leadership Visalia Class decided to tackle water conservation and focused on creating a demonstration piece that will help teach children good water conservation habits. Following the Membership Appreciation Night, the Leadership Visalia class will be donating three water conservation exhibits to Pro-Youth Heart and ImagineU Children’s Museum who will continue to use these exhibits as part of their water conservation curriculum.
The Visalia Chamber will also be presenting the 2015 annual report to the membership and announcing the launch of the new Visalia Chamber of Commerce app. These exciting pieces help to highlight the future of this important organization. With the addition of local food vendors, music and the unique outdoor atmosphere, the Business Members Appreciation Night is not to be missed.
There are many opportunities for local businesses to participate as sponsors and exhibitors this unique outdoor event. Sponsorship/exhibitor information and reservations for individual tickets can be made by going to www.visaliachamber.org or calling 559-734-5876.
Individual tickets for the Business Members Appreciation Night are free to Chamber Members and $20 for non-members.
