Man is stabbed multiple times on Mooney
visalia – A man who was stabbed several times will make a full recovery while his attacker will remain behind bars.
At 8:45 p.m. on April 5, Visalia Police officers responded to the intersection of Mooney Boulevard and Sunnyside Avenue for a report of an assault.
Officers found the victim, whose name was not released, at the scene suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim received treatment for his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
The victim said he and the suspect were involved in an argument when the attacker pulled out a sharp object and stabbed him numerous times. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Juan Pablo Espinoza, was located shortly after the incident and taken into custody with the assistance of the California Highway Patrol helicopter.
Espinoza was booked into the Tulare County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
