visalia – Sometimes folks just want a place to be able to wear a nice big hat, an even bigger dress, and look nice for the day. While the Kentucky Derby might be held in the traditional South, that does not mean people in the Central Valley cannot make the effort to celebrate an annual event.
According FoodLink of Tulare County, spring and southern hospitality are in the air and their Kentucky Derby Party is making its way around the bend.
FoodLink is inviting anyone and everyone to join them for the perfect way to enjoy the Kentucky Derby right here in the Valley on Saturday, May 7 from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Visalia County Club. They entreat attendant to enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, liberating libations, live bluegrass, horse races on the big screens, a silent auction and much more. However they are encouraging people to be sure and wear their fanciest hat or bow tie, for the competition that take place at the event.
