Flood project closes Race Ave. now thru Feb. 18

Flood project closes Race Ave. now thru Feb. 18

As part of the construction of the Downtown Stormwater Flood Protection Project, a road closure will be taking place on Race Avenue between Tipton Street and Burke Street.

The closure, scheduled for exactly one month, began Monday, Jan. 18 and will continue through Thursday, Feb. 18. Businesses on Race Avenue will remain open during the closure, as customers and employees will continue to have access to the roadway during the closure on East Race Avenue between Tipton Street and Burke Street.

Eastbound traffic on Race Avenue will be detoured north/south on Santa Fe Avenue and will detour east down Douglas/Murray Avenue to Burke Street. Westbound traffic on Race Avenue will be detoured north/south on Burke Street to Douglas/Murray Avenue to Santa Fe Street.
