Larson shoots 78 in ESL Championship
Strathmore’s Jeeven Larson will not be able to call himself the East Sequoia League Champion after he carded a six over par, 78, at Valley Oak Golf Course on Wednesday, May 1. Granite Hills’ Colton Painter won the tournament shooting a two under par, 70. Larson’s round began with three pars, but on the par five, fourth hole, the wheels began to come off. An approach shot which found the rough to the right side of the putting service left him with very little green to work with on his next shot. After ending up ten feet away it took him two to get down for a bogey. Larson bogied the par three, fifth hole, and then double bogied another par three on the eighth. He shot a opening nine score of 40.
