Aztecs drop another

Farmersville has dropped to 0-6, and last place in the East Sequoia League with a 41-10 loss to the Corcoran Panthers on Friday, Sept. 21. Corcoran had no trouble getting off to a fast start and was ahead 35-0 at the half. While the Aztecs outscored the Panthers 10-6 in the second half, Corcoran had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. Farmersville will now face the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears at home next Friday at 7:15 p.m.

Volleyball

Cardinals prevail in five sets

As the first half of the East Sequoia League season ended last week, Lindsay finds themselves in fourth place. A 3-2 (25-19, 13-25, 25-13, 21-25, 15-13) win over the Granite Hills Grizzlies on Tuesday, Sept. 18, helped in the improved position. On Oct. 2 the Cardinals will play the first place team in the Woodlake Tigers at 6:30 p.m.

Trailblazers lose close 3-2 match

Golden West hoped the success of getting their first win of the season against Ridgeview in the Redwood Tournament would carry over. It did not as the Trailblazers lost 3-2 (25-18, 18-25, 25-11, 12-25, 12-15) to the Lemoore Tigers.
