The Blue All-Stars best 12 teams in Utah en route to winning the Southwestern Regional Championship
PRICE, UTAH – Youth baseball in Visalia is on the rise. The Visalia Blue All-Stars played in a four-day tournament against a total of 12 teams from around the region. They went 5-1 on their way to capturing the Southwest Pacific Regional Championship. Their win over Hawaii in the title game ended their season with a 30-1 record.
Visalia got off to a rough start in the tournament when they lost to Southern California. Afterward, they won five games in a row, including a revenge win over Southern California . In between were wins over Utah North and South and Central California.
The team was formed on May 15 out of the top Cal Ripken players from the spring season. They won the district championship in Bakersfield without losing a game. Not too long after, they followed it up by winning the state title in Clovis.
