Exeter Youth League registration

Through July 12, kindergartners through eighth graders can register for the Exeter Youth Football League. It will take place each Monday at Kirkman’s VIP Pizza in downtown Exeter from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. There is a $135 fee, which includes a camp. KIDS’ SPORTS LEAGUE

Boys and Girls Club Sports League begins

As of June 7, the first games of the Exeter Boys and Girls Summer Sports League have begun. The league is for ages 8 to 11. Games will be held every Wednesday through Aug. 2. The club is still accepting new members. The only fee is $15 for annual membership. Soccer is the first sport the league is playing. There are three games left for that league: June 14, Exeter vs Tulare; June 21, Exeter at Farmersville; and June 28, Ivanhoe vs Exeter. Then, the league will transition to basketball. Those games are scheduled for July 5, 12, 19 and Aug. 2. For more information, please contact the Exeter Boys and Girls Club at 592-2711.

10K sign-ups

Registration for the July 4 10K/2M race is currentyly open. Race is scheduled for July 4 starting at 7 a.m. Fee for the races is $25 and rises to $35 the day of the race. If you have any questions please call the Exeter Community Services office at 592-5262.

HORSESHOE PITCHING

4th of July Tournament

Registration for Exeter’s annual Fourth of July Horseshoe Tournament is open. There is a fee of $25 and space is limited to the first 28 paid players. For more info, call Danny at 661-667-7433. Deadline is June 23.

Soccer

Aztec youth camp

The 15th annual Farmersville Soccer Camp will be held July 17-21. This year there is a change of location. Instead of being held at Farmersville High School, the camp will be held right across the street at Veteran’s Park. The park is located at the corner of Walnut and Freedom streets. The camp will run from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. each day. There is a $50 fee for the camp. The camp will be coached by current Aztec head coach Michael Jordan, his assistant coaches and many of his former players.
