Exeter Youth Football is seeking players and coaches for fall season

Exeter Youth Football is accepting applications for coaches and players for the up coming season.

Sign ups will be held at Dobson Field on Saturdays at the concession stands and also at VIP Pizza Monday nights from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Must have a copy of birth certificate and players photo.

Lindsay Youth Football seeks players for season

The Lindsay Youth Football program has begun sign ups for the upcoming season of youth football and cheerleading.

The ages of players are between 5-14 years old. The team is also looking for coaches and volunteers to help during the season.

Exeter Eels seek swimmers for season

The Exeter Eels swim team will be taking registrations on Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22 from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Exeter Union High School pool.

New swimmers will need to demonstrate the ability to safely swim 25 yards “freestyle” on these two days in order to make the team. Returning swimmers are also asked to register during these two days.

Registration fees this year are $75 per swimmer with limited space available. Practice will begin on Tuesday May 28 from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. for 10 years old and younger and 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for 11 years of age and older.

The Exeter Eels are a traveling team within the Central Valley Recreational Swim League (CVRSL). The Eels will be hosting 3 meets this season. Information on swim suits, goggles, swim caps and swim meets will be given out at registration.

Exeter Water Polo Program now accepting registrations

The Exeter Community Services is currently accepting registration for its Summer Water Polo Program. This program is scheduled to start on Monday, May 20 with practices starting after school Monday thru Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. for youth, 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. for high school age and 7:30 until 9:30 p.m. for Masters.

There will be no practice scheduled during home Exeter Eels swim meets.

The fee for this program is $70 for high school players, $30 for masters, Junior high school and below which does not included tournament fees.

All participants must be capable of swimming 100 yards unaided. A swim test will be given prior to your first practice.

You must be a USA Water Polo member to practice and or participate in tournament play.

You can join or renew your membership online at www.usawaterpolo.org or by mail. Membership cost online is $70.

The club ID number is 19437. Please make checks payable to Monarch Water Polo Club.

Farmersville Xtreme holds tryouts

Farmersville ASA Summer Softball Xtreme tryouts will be held Sunday, May 19 at the Farmersville Veterans Memorial Park in Farmersville. The registration fee is $50 for all Divisions.

Divisions are as follows: 16u tryout time is 10:00 a.m. 14u tryout time is 11:00 a.m. 12u and 10u tryout time is at noon. Practices start the following week of tryouts.

Games will be scheduled the week of June 3rd. Please be advised this is a travel team, we need players who are committed and have a passion for the sport.

Youth Soccer Leagues seeks players

The City of Exeter’s Community Services Division is now accepting registration for the 2013 Youth Soccer League for boys and girls ages 4 through 14 years of age.

The age as of July 1 will be the age your child will play under. The season is set to begin on Saturday, July 13. Games will be played on Saturday mornings and some evenings at Dobson Field.

Cost for this program is $50 if paid before June 7 and will increase to $60 after June 7. There will be no refunds once the league has begun. Registration fee includes shirt and socks.

Players will only be placed in as vacancies arise. You can sign up at the Community Services Office located at 314 W. Firebaugh in Exeter. Please call the office at 592-5262 for more information.
