Victoria Dahne Gibson went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 8:30 p.m.
She was born on Oct. 15, 1934 in Kansas City, Mo., but California was her home.
She grew up in south Pasadena and raised four children in Arcadia and Ojai, Calif. and will live on through her family.
She is survived by her sisters, brothers in-law, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
She loved animals, especially her red cats. And had a fighting spirit when it came to what she thought was right.
She gave in abundance to those she loved, and was the kind of person to greet you with a hug and dance with you in the kitchen.
She lived in Exeter for 29 years just down the road from her youngest daughter and son in-law. Every family event was held on her 10 acres of oranges, including Easter, Thanksgiving, along with fried chicken and potato salad every Fourth of July. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bob Gibson, who we know with great confidence is reunited with her in Heaven along with her sister Terry.
Graveside service will be held today, Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 10 a.m., at the Exeter Cemetery District. Condolences may be made at www.smithfamilychapel.com. Arrangements by Smith Family Chapel, Exeter.
