Derald Lee Griffis
Memorial service was held Jan. 15, 2013, at the Exeter Veterans Memorial Building for Derald Lee Griffis of Exeter.
He passed away on Jan. 9, 2013 leaving behind his beautiful wife Donna and beloved children Brandon and Shane (Diana) as well as two grandkids Zak and Zoe.
Derald was born on July 24, 1946 in Lindsay, to Barney and Opal Griffis.
He graduated from Exeter High School in 1964 where he was an outstanding football player for the Monarchs. He went on to marry Donna and graduate from Long Beach State. He has always been active in the Exeter community. He was one of the founding fathers of the Clampers local chapter, president of both the Lions and Eagles Club, and he is known for his color commentary at the high school stadium games. After many years of sales experience, he settled in at Kimball Midwest where he grew to be a great leader and role model for many others in his field.
