TULARE – When it comes to celebrating with wine, Tulare is crushing it.

On Friday, Sept. 20, the College of Sequoias Foundation and Tulare Chamber of Commerce are collaborating to present its sixth annual Crush Party. This event showcases premium California wines, as well as local restaurants and caterers at the COS Tulare Campus, located at 4999 E Bardsley Ave. Wineries and eateries will be providing tastings from their establishments.

Among the wineries represented will be Tulare County’s own Cacciatore Winery. Produced and bottled in Tulare County, Cacciatore uses stainless steel aging to preserve the “natural character” of its “Good Dog” wine label. The winery entered its Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio into the 2018 San Francisco Wine Competition and took home silver medals for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and a bronze for its Pinto Grigio. In addition to good taste, this wine feels good when you buy it. For each case of Good Dog wine purchased a percentage of the proceeds are donated to Central Valley Rescue Railroad for abused and neglected animals or to the Valley Oak SPCA in Visalia.

“Crush Party is a vibrant and enjoyable event which will be bigger than ever this year,” said Chamber CEO Donnette Silva Carter. “Guests will have the opportunity to sample cuisine from area restaurants, taste fine California wines, and socialize in the upbeat atmosphere. You definitely want to attend, experience the offerings, and support the COS Foundation and the education programs of the Chamber.”

This event will also feature a silent auction and an opportunity drawing for 109 bottles of wine. The event is made possible by the partnership of AltSys Solar Inc., Altura Centers for Health, Family HealthCare Network, the International Agri-Center, JD Heiskell & Co., Lagomarsino Group, Land O’Lakes, Saputo, and Total Property Management.

Admission to Crush Party is $50 per person and limited to those age 21 and over. The Wine Tree opportunity drawing entrance is $20 per ticket donation. All tickets are available online at www.tularechamber.org, by calling 686-1547, or at the Tulare Chamber office located at 220 E. Tulare Avenue, Tulare.
