At 3:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to Houston and Santa Fe regarding an armed robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim was driving in the area of Houston and Santa Fe when a Ofelia Gallardo, 48, waived the victim down. Once the victim stopped their vehicle, Enrique Ruiz, 30, approached and held the victim at knife point. Next, the Gallardo took the victim’s personal property then fled from the area on foot. Shortly after the incident occurred, an officer located both suspects a short distance away and took them into custody without incident. Both suspects were found in possession of the victim’s property, which was later returned.
