October 3 – Exeter Chamber’s ribbon-cutting and open house for The Sun-Gazette’s new office location at 402 S. F St. in Exeter at 10:30 a.m.

October 3 – Visalia Fox Theatre presents Throwback Thursdays’ screening of Ghostbusters (1984) at 6:30 p.m. at the Fox Theatre, 300 W. Main St. in Visalia. Admission is $5 at eventbrite.com.

October 4 – Senior Toolbox Event from 8 a.m. to noon at Christ Lutheran Church, 3830 W. Tulare Ave. in Visalia. A free educational workshop geared toward helping the senior population, family caregivers, healthcare professionals, and those interested in planning for the future. October 5 – Arts Consortium presents 1st Saturday in Three Rivers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Art studios, restaurants and merchants open their doors and invite all for a town-wide celebration. October 9 – The Sun-Gazette’s Fall Festival giveaway event “Paper & Pastries.” From 7 a.m. to noon, morning commuters and the public are welcome to swing by the Sun-Gazette’s new office at F and Cedar in Exeter for free coffee supplied by Exeter Coffee Company, free pastries and free newspaper while supplies last.

October 12 – Exeter’s 106th annual Fall Festival at City Park, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fall Festival Parade downtown along E. Pine St. begins at 10 a.m. Fall Festival Car Show centered at E. October 13 – The opening reception for Equine Dreams at the Exeter Courthouse Gallery, 125 S. The exhibit will show from Oct. 5 to Nov. 30.

October 19 – Quail Park on Cypress Annual Harvest Festival from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m at 4520 W. Cypress Ave. in Visalia. Family fun, car show, valve cover racing, craft vendors, petting zoo, food court, and more.
