July 3 –Kiwanis of Woodlake’s July 3rd Blast from 5 to 9 p.m. at Miller Brown Park, downtown Woodlake. Family fun, fireworks, kids’ zone, music and food. Free admission.

July 4 – Independence Day Fireworks Community Festival at Groppetti Stadium, 1414 N. McAuliff St. in Visalia, from 2 to 10 p.m. Hot dog eating contest, dunk tank, pool time, food vendors and more. July 4 – The Exeter Lion’s Club presents the 74th Annual Free Fireworks Show at dusk in Exeter Lions Stadium located on east Rocky Hill Drive in Exeter.

July 6 – Arts Consortium presents 1st Saturday in Three Rivers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Art studios, restaurants and merchants open their doors and invite all for a town-wide celebration. July 6, 13, 20 & 27 – Free Community Pool Party from 12 to 3 p.m. at Redwood High School Pool in Visalia. Jump in and enjoy the water during this lifeguard supervised pool time.

July 11 – Contemporary folk singer Avi Kaplan will perform as part of his “The Otherside Tour” at 7:30 p.m. on the Fox Theatre stage, 300 W. Main St. in Visalia. Tickets are $24-$65 at ticketfly.com.

July 12 – Ye Olde Destruction: A Film by Thomas Campbell – the artist/filmmaker has been making a self-funded skateboarding movie for the last seven years, mainly shot on a 16mm film. It will show at 8 p.m. at the Fox Theatre, 300 W. Main St. in Visalia. Tickets are $10 at ticketfly.com.
