March 1–3 – California College Republicans Annual Convention at 300 S. Court St. in Visalia. Engaging speakers, informative workshops, and annual executive board elections. Tickets are $5–$25 at eventbrite.com.

March 2 – Arts Consortium presents 1st Saturday in Three Rivers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Art studios, restaurants and merchants open their doors and invite all for a town-wide celebration. March 2 – Sequoia Symphony Orchestra presents “Great Movies/Great Music: Marvel-ous Heroes” at the Fox Theatre, 300 W. Main St. in Visalia at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10-$45 at sequoiasymphonyorchestra.com.

March 2 & 3 – Gun Expo at the Visalia Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

March 3 – Something Enchanted’s “Sparkle, a Princess Show” for girls age 3 to 7, along with a mom or grandma, will start at 3 p.m. at the Community Center, 145 N. Magnolia St. in Woodlake. Singing, dancing, story time, games and royal greeting photo opp. Tickets are $12 presale at 559-859-7073, or $17 on the day of the event.

March 7 – Sequoia Genealogical Society and Corky Peterson will present the program Unusual Sources for genealogy researchers and anyone in the public who enjoys researching ancestries. March 9 – 5th annual STEAM (formerly STEM) Expo at TCOE Planetarium, 11535 Ave. 264 in Visalia, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is designed to engage students and families in learning about educational and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. March 15 – Quail Park on Cypress, 4520 W. Cypress Ave. in Visalia, is hosting a free Drive-Thru Shredding Event for seniors to safely dispose of confidential information from 8 to 11 a.m. Each car will be limited to three Banker’s boxes. Call 559-624-3503 for more information.

March 16 – St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Visalia beginning at 10 a.m.

March 16 – Visalia Breakfast Lions presents the 8th Annual Irish Fest at Rawhide Stadium from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $40 at rawhidebaseball.com.

March 23 – CASA of Tulare County’s 3rd annual Superhero Run featuring a 5K and 1K Run/Walk, raffle, and pancake breakfast from the Visalia Breakfast Lions, plus a superhero costume contest.
