Man arrested for DUI after crashing into a mountain
Hans Radmacher collides with mountainside on Highway 198 west of Mineral King Rd.
THREE RIVERS – On Friday, Jan. 18, California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to a collision on Highway 198 west of Mineral King Rd. at 11:45 p.m.
After investigating the crash CHP determined Hans Radmacher, 39, was driving his 1993 Toyota Tacoma westbound on 198. Because Radmacher was intoxicated, he lost control of the Tacoma which caused it to collide with the mountainside. Radmacher was not wearing his seatbelt when the Tacoma crashed resulting in major injuries. Radmacher was transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center by a family member where he was arrested for DUI. Radmacher was subsequently released to the care of the hospital for treatment.
