Marjorie M. Fly of Exeter, Calif. passed away supported by her loving husband and best friend on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2018 in Palo Alto, Calif. She was 64 years old.
Marjorie was born in Exeter to Paul and Lucille Marks on May 23, 1954. She attended George McCann School in Visalia, Calif. Through the eighth grade before moving onto and graduating from Mt. Whitney High School. Marjorie went on to graduate from College of Sequoias with her associate of arts degree. On Nov. 27, 1975 she married Grant Fly. Together they had one daughter. Marjorie and Grant enjoyed taking trips with each other, helping their family whenever needed and spending time with family. Some of their favorite times were spent with their grandkids hiking in the forest and going to the central coast. She worked as the librarian spending several years at the Exeter Branch Library.
She was predeceased her brother Charles Marks. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Grant; daughter, Jennifer (Matt); siblings Bill, Paula, Joe, Anne; and four grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 11 at the Exeter District Cemetery. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” – Philippians.
