Police arrest felon who threatened to shoot a man during argument
VISALIA – A Visalia man went back to jail last week after pointing a gun at a man during an argument.
Just after 5 p.m. on Aug. 11, the Visalia Police Department received a call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 1000 block of N. Stover. When officers arrived, witnesses told officers that 22-year-old Angel Bustos had pointed a handgun at another man and threatened to kill him during an argument.
Officers established a perimeter around the residence and, with the assistance of the California Highway Patrol Helicopter, were able to take Bustos into custody. Bustos was later booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility for assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing, criminal threats, being a felon in possession of ammunition and for an active felony warrant for weapons charges.
