Visalia Players’ staging of Shakespeare in Love begins Aug. 3

VISALIA – Based on the screenplay by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard, adapted for the stage by Lee Hall and directed by Teresa Hylton, the Visalia Players’ Shakespeare in Love debuts Aug. 3 and runs through Aug. 19 at The Ice House Theatre, 410 E. Race Avenue in Visalia. 

Gifted William is having issues writing his new play until he meets Viola, a young woman who is a great admirer of his and wants a part in his new stage production. Well, let’s just say that Will is quite taken with the lovely Viola and more than his writing begins to blossom. Based on the Academy Award winning film.

Pre-purchased tickets are $16 for adults, $12 for students; $20 adult/$16 student two hours before the show. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees begin at 2 p.m. Fore more information, go to visaliaplayers.org.
