August 3 – 30th annual Kaweah Delta Golf Classic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Visalia Country Club. Fee is $200 per golfer. Register at donate.kaweahdelta.org/golf-classic. Proceeds for this year are going to the Caring for Our Community campaign.
August 3 – The Creative Center’s Art Market and Open Mic Competition for $100 cash prize from 5 to 8 p.m. at 410 E. Race Ave. in Visalia. Open mic signup is limited, first come/first served. August 3 – Opening reception for the Young at Art Exhibition at Arts Visalia, 214 E. Oak St. in Visalia, from 6 to 8 p.m. Exhibit will showcase works by the summer program’s participants from Aug. 1 to 31. For more info, visit artsvisalia.org.
August 4 – Arts Consortium presents 1st Saturday in Three Rivers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Art studios, restaurants and merchants open their doors and invite all for a town-wide celebration. Go to the Three Rivers Historical Museum,
August 4-5 – 33rd annual Upper Tule Association’s Mountain Festival at Camp Nelson Meadow in Sequoia National Park from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Live music, tri-tip barbecue, crafts and bounce house for kids, Smokey the Bear and more. Free admission. Please leave pets at home.
August 7 –A Tulare County Child Support Services representative will be at the Visalia Public Library, 200 W. Oak Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to talk to customers about our services as well as inviting child support customers to attend our Resource and Employment Fairs and Workshops.
August 9 –Tulare County Child Support Services’ Resource and Employment Fair from 2 to 5 p.m. at 8040 W. Doe Ave. in Visalia. Child support customers will have the opportunity to meet with local agencies, schools, and employers. Call to RSVP at 1-866-901-3212.
August 11 – Visalia’s Beach Party Pub Crawl from 4:30 to 9 p.m. starting at Lum Lums, 417 E. Center Ave. in Visalia. Tickets are $10 at eventbrite.com. Must be 21. A portion of the proceeds of the event will be donated to the Valley Oak SPCA.
August 11 – Celebrant Singers 41st annual Grand Homecoming Concert from 7 to 9 p.m. at L. J. Williams Theater, 1001 W. Main St. in Visalia. Admission is free. For more info, visit visaliachamber.org.

August 18 – The Hell of a Half Marathon in Exeter from 7 to 11 a.m. Race begins at the Veteran’s Memorial Park on Kaweah Avenue and Sequoia Drive in Exeter. Registration is a $95 race fee, plus $5.10 signup fee. Visit run signup.com for details.
August 18 – Kids Fest at Bowlero, 1740 W. Caldwell Ave. in Visalia, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. One hour of free bowling for every child, includes shoe rental, and $5 value arcade card. August 25 –“Beat the Heat” Fitness Crawl from 7:30 a.m. to noon in downtown Visalia. Participate in seven 20-minute workouts with 10-minute breaks between select fitness studios. August 25 – Inaugural Boots and Shoots at the Kingsburg Gun Club, 2246 Gilbert Dr. in Kingsburg.
