VISALIA – Fresh off the release of his first of two specials on Netflix, stand-up comedian Brian Regan is coming back to Visalia.

Regan, whose “Nunchucks and Flamethrowers” show began streaming on Netflix last fall, will perform at the Visalia Fox on Sunday, June 10. Regan has long been considered one of the premier comedians in the country. His comedic material is multigenerational touching on issues as a parent, life as a child and the struggles of being both. His style takes jokes to their breaking point but refrains from profanity and off-color humor, endearing him to fans of all ages. Regan also practices a perfect balance of sophisticated, self-deprecating sarcasm with pinpoint physical comedy that is praised by critics and contemporaries alike.

Regan released his first CD, “Brian Regan Live,” in 1997 after several appearances on late night shows. In 2004, Regan self-released a DVD of his performance at the Irvine Improv titled “I Walked on the Moon”, around the same time earning a featured spot on a Comedy Central’s animated stand-up series Shorties Watchin’ Shorties. In April 2007, Regan signed a deal with Comedy Central to star in two one-hour stand-up specials. “Brian Regan in Concert: A Comedy Central Live Event,” debuted on June 10, 2007. His second Comedy Central special, entitled The Epitome of Hyperbole, premiered on September 6, 2008.

In 2012, he was the featured guest on Jerry Seinfeld’s web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and on Sept. 26, 2015 he recorded the first ever live special on Comedy Central, “Brian Regan: Live from Radio City Music Hall.”

This is Regan’s third time in Visalia with three sold out shows in 2012, 2014 and 2016. His upcoming show will be at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 10 at the Visalia Fox Theatre, 308 W. Main St. in Visalia. Tickets are $45 and $55 and are available at foxvisalia.org. For more information, call 559-625-1369.
