Lindsay Kiwanis Club recognizes TERRIFIC kids for month of March
LINDSAY – The Lindsay Kiwanis Club recognizes Lindsay Unified School District learners who are Thoughtful-Enthusiastic-Respectful-Responsible-Inclusive-Friendly-Inquisitive-Capable (TERRIFIC).
Ashley Villanueva is a fifth grade learner at Washington School. Her favorite subject is History. As part of Team Empower, Ashley assists with school tours for educators visiting from all over the nation. Ashley is also a peer tutor and role model for her fellow learners. She has her educational and career goals mapped out, looking to the future as a doctor. Outside of school, Ashley is involved in a Ballet Folklorico dance group in Porterville.
Alejandro Diaz-Arredondo is a second grade learner at Washington School. He loves to read, and his favorite subject is Science. As a TERRIFIC Learner, Alejandro helps his fellow learners with their school work. When asked about his career goals, Alejandro’s face lit up when he said he wants to be a policeman. Alejandro likes to play soccer during his recreational time.
Both students were recognized by the Lindsay Kiwanis Club at the Lindsay Unified School District Board of Trustees meeting Monday, April 9.
