TULARE – Exhibitors and organizers alike are declaring that this year’s World Ag Expo was a huge success.
Bret McArron from McArron Manufacturing in Selma, Calif. said the event had a huge impact on his company’s sales and networking at the show which played host to 106,700 attendees representing 49 states and 63 countries over the three-day event at the International Agri-Center in Tulare.
“When it’s all said and done, I sold at least a quarter million dollars’ worth of trailers at the show,” McArron said. “For a little company like me to get those kinds of results is pretty amazing.”
McArron Mfg., an agricutrural fabrications company specializing in cobblestone tiles made from granite cobblestones, was among 1,480 exhibitors on 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space at the 51st annual show. The 2018 World Ag Expo came to a close on Feb. 15 with large crowds, cutting-edge exhibits and gorgeous weather for all three days of the show.
“World Ag Expo continues to be a high-quality marketplace for decision makers to network, research and buy new products and services. We’re proud to work with great exhibitors who attract serious attendees. It’s our best show in the last five years!” said Jerry Sinift, CEO of the International Agri-Center. “World Ag Expo is a celebration of all things ag, and we are honored to play a small role in supporting the industry that never stops working to feed and clothe the world.”
Attendees came from all over the world to learn about the newest ag equipment, services and technology. More than 50 educational seminars were held over three days and covered a variety of topics ranging from irrigation to livestock to agribusiness.
Also in attendance was U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue. Secretary Perdue spoke at opening ceremonies, hosted a Town Hall session and spent the day on the show grounds. Other popular attractions at the 2018 World Ag Expo included the Ride & Drive areas, Wine and Cheese, and the daily Equipment Showcase. On Wednesday night, more than 7,000 people attended the Bud Light After-Hours Party, featuring Craig Campbell.
