EXETER – Much like business, the only way to draw people into town is by advertising. For the City of Exeter it is time to step out and show potential visitors what the community has to offer. And as of last week, the City Council voted in favor of contracting with CGI Communications to do just that.
At no cost to the City, CGI Communications will produce five high quality videos of a minute and half or less. The only concession for the City is to allow CGI Communications to place locally sold advertisement buttons around the video for three years. Production between script development to active video is no more than 12 weeks, per a Exeter City Council agenda item report. Council voted unanimously to move forward.
CGI’s offices are located in Rochester, New York and much of their business is on the East Coast but the company is developing client relationships on the West Coast. Two cities who use their program are Montebello and Colton, Calif. CGI has about 3,000 clients throughout the country.
