Officers convince homeless man to put his clothes back before fighting with officers
VISALIA – A middle-aged man went streaking last Friday, but it wasn’t Old School’s Will Ferrell headed for the college quad.
At about 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 9, officers from the Visalia Police Department were dispatched to the 1400 block of W. Center for a report of a nude transient standing in front of a local business.
The naked man, later identified as 48-year-old Shane Masters, was still nude and acting erratic when officers arrived. Officers were able to convince Masters to put his clothes on; however, upon attempting to detain him for an evaluation, he began to struggle with officers. While on the ground, he tried to kick officers but was eventually detained without further incident. Masters was transported to Tulare County Pretrial Facility where he was booked for resisting arrest with force.
