Boys & Girls Club of the Sequoias announces new board members
Bill Adams is president; Jeff Beck, Dustin Stewart to serve as VPs of non-profit serving Tulare County youth
VISALIA – The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias, which offers programs for youth at 14 sites throughout Tulare County, has expanded its Board of Directors.
The new board members are:
- Carlos Aleman, Managing Broker, The Equity Group, Inc. Real Estate Sales
- Paula Black, Attorney, Rauber Johnson & Black
- Dr. Ian Duncan, Partner, Orthopaedic Associates Medical Clinic
- Bill Hoover, Vice President, Business Development, Wells Fargo Bank
The president of the Board of Directors is Bill Adams; the vice-presidents are Jeff Beck and Dustin Stewart; treasurer is Gary Herbst; and secretary Marilynn Mitchell.
The Exeter-based Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias offers recreation, homework assistance, service opportunities and computer labs. The organization’s mission is “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”
Boys & Girls Club of the Sequoias currently serves youth in the communities of Visalia, Tulare, Ivanhoe, Farmersville, Exeter, Porterville and Strathmore. In 2017 BGCS reached over 3,500 youth throughout Tulare County providing them with meaningful mentoring with caring staff and participation in life changing programs.
