Police arrest two for Dec. 30 armed robbery
VISALIA – Police recently arrested the two men responsible for robbing a gas station in December.
At 7:45 a.m. on Jan. 30, Visalia Police officers arrested 26-year-old Martin Parraz at his home in the 600 block of N. Brundage in Farmersville while serving a search warrant. Officers found evidence inside the home that linked Parraz to the Dec. 30 robbery of the Shell gas station at Lovers Lane and Walnut Avenue in Visalia. The crime happened at about 9 p.m. when two men entered the business, took several items off the shelves and then attempted to leave without paying. When an employee attempted to confront them, one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the employee before fleeing the scene. Surveillance video helped investigators identify Parraz as the gunman. Parraz was booked into the Main Jail for armed robbery and related charges.
Police were able to identify the second suspect as 18-year-old David Guevara. On Feb. 2, Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies located Guevara and arrested him on unrelated charges. VPD Violent Crimes detectives responded and interviewed Guevara. He was later booked for armed robbery and other related charges.
