Crime Lines: Lindsay man pushes his luck with Lindsay PD
Suspect causes a disturbance twice on the same night, gets arrested
LINDSAY – The main goal of a police officer is to try and keep the peace. On Saturday, Dec. 23, that involved showing up at a residence twice within the time span of an hour.
Officers responded to a report of a dispute between a male and female in the 300 block of S. Mirage at 6:13 pm. When officers arrived they saw the reporting party and boyfriend, Victor Renteria, 23, where engaged in a verbal dispute. After the dispute was ended it was discovered that Renteria had an active misdemeanor and was placed under arrest. He was then transported to the Lindsay Police Department for processing, cited and released on a signed agreement to appear.
Less than an hour later at 7:02 p.m. officers received another report that Renteria had returned, and was once again causing a disturbance. Upon arrival officers contacted the reporting party outside the house. At that time they advised officers that Renteria was intoxicated and inside. When officers approached the house they saw Renteria in the living room. After repeated commands from officers for Renteria to come outside he remained, and become uncooperative. He was eventually arrested and transported back to the Police Department before eventually being moved to Tulare County Sheriff’s Porterville Sub Station.
