EXETER –Tulare County Farm Bureau held its annual Superintendents’ Breakfast last month awarding $4,250 in grants to local schools that are launching or continuing a school garden program.

The breakfast, jointly hosted by Superintendent of Tulare County Schools’ Jim Vidak, gathered nearly 40 area superintendents, administrators and principals to hear about Tulare County Farm Bureau’s education programs.

The 2017 breakfast was held at FoodLink for Tulare County’s office in Exeter. FoodLink’s executive director, Sarah Ramirez was the guest speaker for the morning. She also led a tour of the facility following the breakfast.

TCFB’s School Garden Grant program is one of the Education Committee’s many efforts to Garden Grants Awarded at Superintendent’s Breakfast. This year’s Garden Grant Recipient Schools received their checks to support agriculture literacy in the community.
