Visalia Parks & Recreation provides free Movies in the Park on Friday evenings through July at Riverway Sports Park

VISALIA – Visalia’s summer fun, Movies in the Park, premiers at Riverway Sports Park this Friday with lots more entertainment forthcoming. In past years, films have brought in approximately 300 residents who spread out their blankets and opened up their picnic baskets for an outing of relaxation for the whole family.
Upcoming shows include:

  • June 21Lilo & Stitch
  • June 28Aquaman
  • July 5The Emperor’s New Groove
  • July 12Spider-man into the Spider-verse
  • July 19How to Train Your Dragon
Films are shown on Visalia’s Department of Parks and Recreation’s giant inflatable movie screen. Movies start at dusk, generally between 8 and 8:15 p.m. Movie-goers should bring their own blankets and lawn chairs. They are welcome to bring snacks or a picnic dinner, but alcohol is not permitted. Attendees are asked to clean up their picnic area as they leave.
Residents of any age are welcome. The program is free. Movie are shown at the Riverway Sports Park Special Event Promenade, 3611 N. Dinuba Blvd. in Visalia. For more information, contact Visalia Parks and Recreation Department, 559-713-4365.
