The Courthouse Gallery will present its 15th annual holiday art auction from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9 at Exeter Museum and Gallery, 125 S. ‘B’ St. in Exeter. Some of Tulare County’s most talented artists will be donating art worth more than $10,000. This year’s selection includes single pieces from Chuck Prudhomme (nine oil paintings), George Tanimoto (six mixed media paintings), Manual Abad (four oil paintings), Marty Weekly (several oil paintings), and Jack Routh (four black and white, limited edition photographs). There is no minimum bid on the items up for auction.

“This is our main fundraiser for the year,” said Chris Brewer, president and curator of the Exeter museum and gallery. “Proceeds will help support our programs that are designed to improve Exeter’s living environs and lifestyle.”
Tickets are $35 per person or two for $60 and are available at the door or from participating locations including the Exeter Flower Company, Book Garden, Hometown Emporium, and at the Exeter Chamber of Commerce.
There will be food, wine, entertainment, a silent auction and a live auction at the event. Food will be provided by Hometown Emporium and the wine was donated by John and Mary Lynne Franzia of Bronco Winery Company in Ceres, Calif.
“We could not provide Exeter with such a special afternoon without the assistance of these wonderful people and I hope you will be sure to visit them throughout the year,” Brewer said.
