2018 Pastel Show at the Lindsay Art Association is a judged show, offers awards in several categories
LINDSAY – The new year has arrived and with it a slew of new events, the latest of which is hosted at the Lindsay Art Association. Next Friday, Jan. 12 they will present the 2018 Tulare County Pastel Show at the Lindsay Museum & Gallery, at 165 North Gale Hill Avenue. The show opens next Friday and runs through Sunday, Feb. 18, during regular business hours at the museum.
Entry in this competitive show was open to Tulare County resident artists, working in the soft pastel medium. Awards are being offered in several categories, including landscape and seascape, still life and interiors, portrait and figure, and abstract and non-objective.
Best of Show will also be awarded. A reception for the artists is planned for Sunday, Jan. 14, from 2 to 5 p.m. The museum’s regular hours are Sunday and Friday, from noon to 4 p.m. It is hoped that the show will bring more public awareness to work being done in the pastel medium, as well as to the work of artists in Tulare County in general
