Stuff The Bus Benefit
visalia – School supplies are dreadfully expensive. From binders, backpacks, dry erase markers, and more “back to school” can become a dreaded time for family’s pocketbooks, especially if they have multiple children attending school at one time.
Visalia Unified School District intends to ease the burden families face this school year with a “Stuff the Bus” event. The event will be held from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, at the South Mooney Target parking lot which is located at 4247 S. Mooney Blvd. This school year there is a special need for backpacks, pencils and paper, binders, folders, crayons, antibacterial hand sanitizers and tissues.
Aside from school supplies, attendees can donate blood with the California Blood Center and enjoy popcorn and snow cones. While parents donate supplies or give blood, kids can bounce in the bounce houses or get creative at the face painting station.
