July 9 – Artist reception from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Exeter Courthouse Gallery. The gallery presents the works of “Sisters” by Lana Shepherd, Lisa Baker, Lori Caccamo and Lynn Ramires. The exhibit shows from July 8 to Aug. 27.

July 12 – Showing “Sing!,” Wednesday night Movies in the Park is hosted by the Optimist Club of Exeter, 7:30 p.m. at Exeter City Park. Admission is free.

July 21- ImagineU Children’s Museum will host NASA astronaut Don Thomas from 1 to 3 p.m. He will conduct a water experiment that demonstrates how water behaves in space, and conclude with a presentation about life in space.

July 29 – 1st Annual Boots, Brews & Bacon Fest at the Visalia Convention Center, 6 to 10 p.m. Live music, entertainment, pub games, taste local restaurants’ best bacon bites (it’s a contest). Tickets range $35 to $75 at www.visaliatix.showare.com.


August 5 – The Visalia Convention center will host performers Los Traileros Del Norte, Control Los Reyes De La Cumbia, Poderoso, Relampaguitos, Eliseo Robles and Tiranos Del Norte. VIP tables are available. Go to www.visaliatix.showare.com.

August 5 & 6 – The Annual Mountain Festival at Camp Nelson Meadow beginning at 10 a.m. Free admission includes games for kids, a bounce house, horseshoe tournament, live music, food, Forest Service log sawing, Smokey the Bear and more.
