Children’s exhibits highlight art and mental health
visalia – The Family Resource Center’s (FRC) Children’s Art Show and Open House brings families together to celebrate Mental Health Month and highlights mental health issues encourage education and acceptance. These exciting bilingual and bicultural events focus on the introduction to art, mental health, and wellness to children and their families. The event will feature a display of children’s artwork, live entertainment, therapist presentations, and other family-focused children’s activities.
Five children’s art exhibits and open houses are scheduled for the following times and locations:
May 10 – Earlimart FRC (114 N. Front St., 1:30-5 p.m.)
May 18 – Woodlake FRC (355 Acacia St., 4:30-6:30 p.m.)
May 23 – Cutler-Orosi FRC (40802 Rd. 128, Orosi, 5-7 p.m.)
May 24 – Lindsay FRC (Victor Cervantes Studio, 248 N. Sweetbriar, Lindsay, 4-8 p.m.)
May 26 – Visalia FRC (330 N. Johnson St., 4-6 p.m.)
This is the fifth annual event for the Children’s Art Shows, hosted in Spanish. These events have grown from one site in Woodlake the first year, to five sites this year.
