Exeter raises glasses, money this sat.

Don’t wait until Cinco de Mayo to celebrate this weekend. Instead of drinking some watered-down Mexican or domestic macrobrew, why not sample a variety of some of the best microbrews on the West Coast the day before.

This Saturday, May 4 the Exeter Lions Club will hold its 18th annual Brewfest. The specialty sausage and beer tasting, will be held from 2-6 p.m. on the front lawn of the Exeter Memorial Building, located at 324 N. Kaweah Ave. in Exeter.

More than 50 great beers, spectacular local sausage and free sodas and water for sober drivers will again have people lining up for a good cause.

So get your silly T-shirts, stylish sunglasses, sober drivers, salty pretzels and succulent sausage and get ready for the best beer festival in the Valley.

Tickets are $40 per person but the event usually sells out quickly. About 2,000 people are expected to attend the annual beer and sausage tasting event this weekend.

Tickets can be purchased from any Exeter Lions Club member. For more information, call 559-592-3121 or e-mail mike@exeterlions.org.
