Classy Christmas

Fine art and fine wine equaled a fine time for Christmas at the Gallery on Dec. 8.

Rebecca Hellwig opened the auction by singing “Santa Baby” to Marty Weekly in front of a Christmas tree decorated with mini paintings on it, ready to be auctioned off to benefit the Courthouse Gallery of the Arts in Exeter. Chris Brewer won the raffle for the Christmas Express model train set inspired by Thomas Kinkade, “The Painter of Light.” Norma Landers won the 20-by-30 inch oil painting, “Among the Giants,” by popular plein aire artist and gallery founding member Marty Weekly. Also raffled off the poinsettia plants used as decorations for the event. The gallery’s current exhibit was also open to those in attendance as Andy Snodgrass played the piano inside the gallery.
