exeter – If you would like to learn how to better manage your health, sign up for a free six-week workshop presented by Kaweah Delta Health Care District. The free workshops are designed to help people with ongoing health problems such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, asthma, or any other chronic condition. Each session lasts 2 ½ hours. Topics that are covered include: problem solving for positive changes, relaxation techniques, improving communication with physicians, family and friends, medication “How Tos”, weekly goal setting and healthy eating.
This workshop was developed by Dr. Kate Lorig at Stanford University. Participants demonstrate significant improvements in the areas covered.
