visalia – A hip and knee joint replacement seminar will be led by experienced and knowledgeable orthopedic surgeons affiliated with Kaweah Delta on Thursday, April 20 in Visalia. Board-certified orthopedic surgeons Ian Duncan, M.D. and Jason Mihalcin, D.O. will be answering questions, discussing new advancement in technology and the benefits of minimally invasive techniques in total joint replacement surgery.
Attendees of the seminar can learn about the latest treatments for hip pain from Dr. Duncan of Orthopaedic Associates in Visalia.
“We will be discussing the sources of hip pain and comparing the difference between a normal hip and an arthritic hip,” Dr. Duncan said. “Attendees will gain a better understanding of the various hip replacement techniques fit for their needs, along with the advantages and disadvantages of replacement surgery.”
The second topic of the evening, presented by Dr. Mihalcin of Visalia Medical Clinic, will discuss knee pain. He will navigate through a knee replacement procedure with video on how the different minimally-invasive techniques are surgically performed.
