KDHCD breaks ground on new clinic

KDHCD breaks ground on new clinic

Kaweah Delta Health Care District held a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday for its fourth rural health clinic.

The ceremony took place from at the site of the district’s future Visalia Health Clinic at 243 E. Caldwell Ave. The 11,800-square-foot clinic is expected to open in 2014. Services to be provided include Family Medicine (adult and pediatrics), Women’s Health, and select specialty service. Kaweah Delta expects to employ about 30 at the clinic, including physicians, residents, and support staff.

The health center will be the district’s fourth rural health clinic to open in Tulare County. Kaweah Delta currently operates rural health clinics in Exeter, Lindsay and Woodlake.

Established in 1963, Kaweah Delta Health Care District celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013.
