Getting a library card is ‘Incredible’

Tulare County Library branches celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month


VISALIA – Come by any Tulare County Library Branch to “Get a library card and check out something incredible!” with Disney Pixar’s superhero family, the Incredibles.

To celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month, patrons can enter for a chance to win one of five Incredibles-themed prizes systemwide, thanks to the Friends of the Tulare County Library. Drawing tickets can be earned at any Tulare County Library branch by obtaining a new library card or sharing why your library is incredible.

The Library and libraries around the country participates in National Library Card Sign-Up Month every September. Make your September incredible by signing up for a free library card. Just stop by your local Tulare County Branch Library, fill out a library card application and provide a picture ID. If your current address is not on your photo ID, please bring a proof of current address such as a bill, piece of mail, or rental agreement Need of a replacement card, replacement cards are now also free. Under 18 and want your first card or a replacement, bring a parent, their ID, and proof of address.

The library is for all ages, from preschoolers through adults with a variety of free services that includes special events, adult and family literacy, storytimes, gaming, movies, and so much more. Find online resources, programs, and knowledgeable librarians and staff that support education and literacy. Offering a wide selection of print and digital resources, the Tulare County Library provides online homework help, exam practice, language learning materials, and books and materials from libraries throughout the San Joaquin Valley Library System.
