Kiwanis recognizes Lindsay’s TERRIFIC learners
Lindsay Kiwanis Club recognizes Lindsay Unified School District learners who are Thoughtful-Enthusiastic-Respectful-Responsible-Inclusive-Friendly-Inquisitive-Capable (TERRIFIC) and who serve their community (school and/or Lindsay).
Lilly Lopez is a kindergartner at Jefferson School. Lilly loves to learn everything! Her learning facilitator says Lilly comes to school every day with an excitement for learning and a dedication for going above and beyond at school; she embodies the characteristics of a TERRIFIC Learner. Lilly is in the Dual Immersion program, learning in English and Spanish; she loves to read in both. Lilly is a role model who likes to help her friends whenever needed. At her young age, Lilly wants a career as a representative for Build-a-Bear.
Alexander Martella is a kindergartner at Jefferson School who already demonstrates the qualities of a TERRIFIC Learner. He is a great role model who always demonstrates his learning community’s Code of Cooperation. Alexander’s learning facilitator states that he is respectful of others and is a great friend to his peers. Alexander says he likes to help others. Outside of the classroom, he likes to skateboard. Alexander’s future goals include serving his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army, followed by a career as a fireman.
