VISALIA – Reading is not just a time to sit and excavate the paragraphs on the page, it is an everyday activity required to be productive. The more a child dives into words, the better of they will be, and the more a family supports their child’s reading habits the better readers they will become. Which is why the Tulare County Library’s Visalia Branch is now offering Saturday story times for all kids of all ages, including moms, dads, grandparents, and caregivers.

‘Family Storytime’ begin this Saturday, March 3, and ‘Hora de Cuentos’ story times are starting on Saturday, March 10. Enjoy stories, songs, and games to help foster a joy of reading and learning. Remember to check out books as well. Now the whole family, including Spanish speakers, can participate.

‘Family Storytime’ and bilingual ‘Hora de Cuentos’ are held once a month in the Children’s Wing of the Visalia Branch Library.

  • Family Storytime: Saturdays – March 3, April 28, and May 12 at 1 p.m.
  • Hora de Cuentos: Saturdays – March 10, April 7, and May 5 at 10 a.m.

All attendees must be accompanied by a child. The Visalia Branch Library is located at 200 W. Oak Street in downtown Visalia, with entrances on Encina and Locust.

The Tulare County Library serves all the citizens of Tulare County with locations in seventeen communities, four book machines, two adult literacy centers, and online at www.tularecountylibrary.org
