EUHS adds three AP, UC-required courses

Exeter High School students have more choices as they plan for life after graduation and they have a new College and Career Counselor to help them craft that future.

Exeter High School has added several new courses to meet the needs of students entering college or the work force. The additional courses include; three Advanced Placement (AP) courses in the areas of Art, US History, and Statistics and three courses aligned with the requirements for the California University system which include; Drama, Film History, and Spanish for Spanish Speakers. The addition of these six courses will help better prepare students for the demands of college or as they prepare for a career.

Career Technical Education is also going strong at Exeter High School with the addition of a child development course and the continued offerings of the Health Occupations and Certified Nursing Assistant courses. The Agriculture Program continues to excel as a program which builds leadership and prepares students for a successful future. Exeter High School Agriculture program has earned national recognition as a two Star program, one of only six programs in California to earn that honor.

Frank Silveira, who has been the principal of Exeter High School for the last five years stated, “As we look for opportunities to better prepare every student for their future, adding course offerings and building school/community involvement is truly essential and will be an ongoing commitment to our students at EUHS.”
