One injured in Farmersville shooting

One injured in Farmersville shooting

farmersville – Residents on the 100 block of East Costner Street in Farmersville had a rude awakening in the early morning hours of June 30, when a man shot and wounded another man who was arriving home.

Officers from Farmerville Police Department were dispatched to a report of a shooting at 3:45 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 22-year-old male who had suffered a number of gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid and called for emergency medical response. The victim was then transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with serious injuries.

The investigation so far has reveled that the unknown suspect pulled up to the residence where the victim had just arrived to. The suspect then fire several shots at the victim while he was standing in the front yard of the residence. After shooting, the suspect fled north bound on Farmersville Boulevard in a silver older model Mercedes two-door.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s with a medium complexion and short dark hair. At this time the investigation is still ongoing and there is no further information available.
