Dress for the job force you want to rejoin
central valley – The tenth annual National Suit Drive has started in the central valley. For the month of July, valley residents are encouraged to donate their gently used professional attire to help unemployed Americans in need who are transitioning back into the workforce.
All donations made in the month of July will be distributed to Turning Pint of Central California as well as over 170 local non-profit organizations across the country who help unemployed individuals rejoin the workforce. In the past nine years, the National Suit Drive has collected more than 1.3 million items of clothing.
“In a job interview, confidence can be the deciding factor that helps land you the job,” said Doug Ewert, CEO of Tailored Brands, Inc. “Putting on a suit gives you that confidence to make a great first impression, and the National Suit Drive provides men the opportunity to look and feel their best as they take the next step in their career. In our tenth year, we’re hopeful to collect more donations than ever before.”
Residents of Visalia and surrounding areas are invited to donate their professional clothing to Men’s Wearhouse locations. Donors will receive 50 percent off their next purchase as a thank you. Acceptable clothing to donate includes, men’s and women’s suits, ties, jackets, shirts, pants, belts and shoes. Men’s Warehouse is located at 2226 S. Mooney Blvd, Unit A15 in Visalia.
