Tulare Co. Farm Bureau sets artist reception to celebrate mural

visalia – Tulare County Farm Bureau turns 100 year this year, and the organization is celebrating with a variety of centennial events during the entire year. Farm Bureau will host an artist’s reception to announce and officially unveil the new mural on the Farm Bureau building in Visalia on Thursday, May 11 at 6 p.m. The reception will be held at the Farm Bureau, 737 N. Ben Maddox Way in Visalia.

The public is invited to drop by the reception and meet Colleen Mitchell-Veyna the mural artist, and Jana Botkin, local CabinArt artist who designed a coloring book for all ages featuring local agriculture images, the cover art for her book was also inspired by Veyna’s mural. Coloring books from Jana Botkin will be available that evening for $15, proceeds benefit the Farm Bureau’s Centennial fund.

To RSVP for the Mural Reception please call the Farm Bureau at 559-732-8301.  The event will be catered by Sue Sa’s Gourmet Catering and both artists will be available that evening to share stories about their work.
