Event offers Opportunity for veterans, April 26
visalia – After fighting for the land of opportunity, it seems the bare minimum that America could offer its veterans is an opportunity to make their lives better. That’s the idea behind the annual Veterans Opportunity Day.
At this event, veterans can learn about job opportunities, meet prospective employers, and get information about services and benefits, including the CalVet home loan and lost record replacement. This year’s event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26 at the Veterans Memorial Building, 1771 E. Tulare Ave. in Tulare.
Businesses, community organizations, and service providers can register to have booths at this event for free. Registration closes today, April 19.
This event is made possible by the Tulare County Veterans Opportunity Day Committee, Tulare County Veterans Service Office, California Employment Development Department, California Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and local employers and service organizations.
